But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able thus to offer willingly? For all things come from you, and of your own have we given you. 1 Chronicles 29:14

The focus of our church budget is to align all the dollars given with the Great Commission:

And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.  Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,  teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:18-20)

Why Give?

We as Christ followers have a real responsibility to give a portion of what God has provided us to our local church. Everything we have, He has provided! Here are some scriptures to look up that apply to giving to your church: Matthew 6:21; Malachi 3:6-12; 2 Corinthians 9:6-15.

If you need help with paying your utilities, or have other needs, please let us know. A limited portion of what’s given to Sligo Baptist is designated for benevolence in our community. Your giving also goes to provide help for people in need around the world, in our nation, and in our neighborhood.
