1) What should I wear?
At Sligo, you may dress however you are comfortable. Some people like to “dress up” for church and others come in jeans. We will be happy to see you. What you wear is not important.

2) Will my children be well taken care of?
We love kids! During worship (starts at 11AM), children 5 and under are cared for with love by people who you can trust while you worship with your family. During Sunday School (starts at 9:45AM) we have classes for all ages in which the Word of God is taught, and for kids, fun projects accompany a Bible lesson.
3) Where on earth is Sligo?
Sligo is the center of the universe . . . only kidding. Our church is located 2.5 miles north of I-71 off exit 28 very near the intersection of KY Highway 153 and US Highway 42. We are on a little loop road that branches off US Highway 42 just a few hundred yards east of KY Highway 153. Confused? Click here for a map. (Once you find us, you will want to come back).
4) I’ve been wanting to come to church, but I’m afraid I’d be embarrassed since I don’t know much about the Bible.
Wow! You are really an honest person! The people who attend Sligo Baptist are in various stages of Christian discipleship growth. Our sermons are very basic and straight from God’s word. You’ll learn a lot just by listening. We also offer classes for awesome, honest people like you where you can learn the basics of the Bible without feeling embarrassed. The more you learn about God’s word, the more you’ll know about the God who loves you no matter what. Cool huh?

5) Does your church thump the Bible and tell people they are no good?
Nope. Try us and you’ll see that we understand that God has been very patient, full of mercy, and full of grace toward each of us, so we won’t turn our noses up when you come through the door. You’re a lot more likely to get a hug, or a handshake, along with a big welcoming smile.
